Pitted against alien invaders, secret government agents, and bumbling park rangers, three friends on a camping trip must not only brave the elements and battle the mosquitoes: they also have to save the world. Pest Control tells the story of Jake, Alex, and Michael and their attempt to save humankind from total annihilation at the hands of alien exterminators.

Guest Artist – Improv Storytelling Workshop

Peter Stevens has been performing, coaching, and teaching improv for fifteen years. When he’s in town, we often have him as a guest improv teacher because of his passion for the art and detailed lessons. He’s eager to share from his wealth of experience and has a lot to offer all players, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned vet. In this four-hour workshop, we’ll learn and develop our core skills to perform improvised stories. The focus will begin on openings, and setting ourselves up to find the heart of a scene, and move toward finding natural and rewarding endings to our tales. Peter believes that his instruction should be quantifiable, we will walk away with specific habits for crafting better stories.

The Found Footage Film Festival

The Found Footage Festival is a one-of-a-kind event showcasing videos found at garage sales and thrift stores and in warehouses and dumpsters throughout North America. Curators Joe Pickett (The Onion) and Nick Prueher (The Colbert Report) take audiences on a guided tour of their latest and greatest VHS finds, providing live commentary and where-are-they-now updates on the people in these videotaped obscurities. From the curiously-produced industrial training video to the forsaken home movie donated to Goodwill, the Found Footage Festival resurrects these forgotten treasures and serves them up in a lively celebration of all things found.
