DéPFLIES is back!
Episode XIII: RAGE AGAINST THE LACHINE
A bilingual comedy.
DéPFLIES is a serial play about the regulars at a convenience store in St-Henri.
This show has already taken the world by storm with its trashy, beautiful humor and unique bilingual, poetic style. The magic of banality and the eternal nocturnal quests of Montrealers. It’s all back for a 13th edition!
A play unlike any seen before, described once as “Chekov with touches of Seinfeld”, is back! Set in St-Henri, Montréal at a small dépanneur where life drags along but adventure also explodes in hilarious episodes. Peter, Nancie, Roger, Virginie and Zoe are always getting roped into the insanity of deprivation, gentrification, Montreal mishaps and the general ups and downs of life in la belle province.
This time, the dép owner is tormented by a neighbor who cuts his nails on his balcony.
A cocky toe-nail cutter torments the neighborhood on a balcony. A butterfly effect takes place and the dépanneur begins to consider itself a healing center. The Lachine Canal has a new spa opening and a rivalry begins to insert itself among the dépflies: if a dépanneur even by its name is supposed to “save people”, shouldn’t it go all the way? Chaos ensues on the canal as the depflies come together and get torn apart as always. To see this all take place one must simply come to the show!
Featuring Simon Chavarie, Elizabeth Fennell, Sandi Armstrong, Alain Mercieca, Mason Persaud, Kristina Guevarra, Lise Vigneault, Kitty Kerr, and Maité Sinave.

Co-Direction Kitty Kerr and Sandi Armstrong
Dramaturgy Mason Persaud
