MTL Sketchfest with 100% HUMAN PEOPLE (MTL), ANDY ASSAF (MTL/TO), and JOY PROVISION (TO)

mai 10@19:00 - 21:00

100% HUMAN PEOPLE (Montreal)

100% Human people is a comedic trio made of real humans Nguyen, Solly, and Shanthony. We are real human friends who met at Sunday Night Improv performing human comedy. (help they are destroy…) we are very friendly and human.

ANDY ASSAF – FREAKS (Toronto/Los Angeles)

Andy Assaf, originally from Montreal, is a Toronto/LA based sketch and improv comedian. You might know him from as the Cravensworth’s Monster on season 6 of What We Do In The Shadows on Fx. He is also a Second City Toronto Mainstage alumni where he wrote and performed 3 Sketch Revues. Other credits include: the Recruit (Netflix), Workin’ Moms (CBC) or you might have seen him as that “Canadian” guy in the Domino’s commercial. He has performed across Canada and the US including: NYC – Del Close Marathon, Montreal + Toronto Sketchfest, DC Sketchfest, Vancouver Improv Festival Ensemble and the Rapid Fire Theatre in Edmonton.

And the show:

Andy Assaf FREAKS

DIRECTED BY KIRSTEN RASMUSSEN

Andy Assaf presents his collection of weird and wide ranging FREAKS. From weird freaks from his real life, to political figures from our current dystopia, to Kronenberg-ian body horror there’s something for the whole family. You will barely realize this is a Solo Sketch show because of how many freaks will be there! (And some friends of his might drop by)

JOY PROVISION (Toronto)

Joy Provision, made up of Rena Taylor and Ethan Resendes, have had the pleasure to strut our stuff at TOsketchFest (Producer’s Pick 2022), Montreal SketchFest (Best of Fest Showcase), Philly SketchFest (Winners of The Most Likely to confuse Taco Bell for the Liberty Bell), as well as had the pleasure to perform at the DC Improv with our buddies over at Bad Medicine. We recently produced our show as a part of the Inaugural Ladyfest Toronto with Hillary Yaas! Both graduates of the York Theatre program, these two clowns bring theatre sensibilities to create comedic art.
