Continuing his run of jazz shows at Théâtre Sainte-Catherine, Fave Daka will be next singing exclusively the music of Duke Ellington, one of the greatest jazz composers of all-time. The setlist will consist of ballads, blues, latin groove, and a number of songs dedicated to both love and loss.
Originally from Nigeria, Daka is a Montreal-based singer whose musical experiences span from gospel to R&B to classical and now jazz. At this show, Daka will be joined on stage by Ingrid Li (saxophone), Thomas Andersen (piano), François Archambault (upright bass), Zach Winter (guitar), and Daniel Nash (drums). There will also be a surprise guest violinist.
We hope to see you all at Théâtre Sainte-Catherine on Thursday, October 30th for what promises to be a stellar evening of jazz.
