The Fave Daka Show starring The Eric Dubé Big Band

Fave Daka returns to Théâtre Sainte-Catherine on November 19 for the third edition of The Fave Daka Show starring The Eric Dubé Big Band. Originally from Nigeria, Daka is a Montreal-based singer whose musical experiences span from gospel to R&B to classical and now jazz. Known for his lively stage presence, Daka possesses a vocal timbre that is often likened to jazz greats such as Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole.

At this show, Daka will be performing alongside The Eric Dubé Big Band. Eric Dubé is a jazz trombonist from Montreal who currently leads a 15-member jazz orchestra, largely playing his original tunes. Dubé is a graduate from McGill University’s jazz program, wherein he studied under other Montreal big band composers such as Joe Sullivan and Jean-Nicolas Trottier. Dubé has performed to audiences all over Canada, Germany, Poland, Estonia, and Latvia.
