🎞 About the Film

Pasha is an ordinary schoolteacher in a small Russian village. He works at the same school he once attended as a child and has devoted his life to educating the next generation. Beloved by his students for his creativity, mischief, and open-minded approach, Pasha embodies what free thinking in education can be.

But when Russia invades Ukraine, everything changes. Overnight, the Ministry of Education—under Putin’s direct orders—turns primary schools across the country into recruitment zones. Militarization and state ideology replace critical thought, and patriotism becomes mandatory.

Unable to reconcile his conscience with the new reality, Pasha begins secretly filming life inside his school. Under the guise of his official duties as the school’s videographer, he documents how propaganda and war seep into everyday life.

The result is a chilling and deeply human portrait of how a teacher’s quiet resistance exposes the machinery of indoctrination—and the heavy cost of speaking the truth in today’s Russia.
